Things to Keep in Mind

  • The maximum poster size is 48 inches wide and 36 inches high.

  • All final papers must be submitted electronically as Word documents. Do not upload final papers as .pdf files.

  • Final papers should not use endnote or other automatic reference software.

  • For joint papers, the person submitting the proposal should be a presenting author as it is that person who will need to register by the speaker registration deadline of September 10, 2018 for an accepted proposal to remain in the program.

  • Accepted proposals in Spanish or French will need to be translated by the author(s) into English by June 15, 2018. These final papers will be published in two languages (English and Spanish/French) in the proceedings.

  • Presentations may be made in English, Spanish, or French. Translation will be available for plenaries and designated bilingual sessions. If presenting in Spanish or French, PowerPoint slides should be prepared in both English and the language used for the presentation.

  • It is essential to carefully format proposals according to the proposal guidelines. Please use the template provided below.

Conference Registration Scholarships

The PME-NA Steering Committee is pleased to announce the continuation of a scholarship program to cover the cost of conference registration. For 2018, we have a budget of $15,000 for these scholarships. Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on a range of criteria, including the following: academic position, acceptance - status of proposals, availability of other travel support, and historical representation of their geographic area or institution. All applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Subcommittee of the PME-NA Steering Committee.

Please note that the deadline to apply for a registration scholarship for the 2018 PME-NA conference has already passed.

If you have questions, please contact the chair of the PME-NA Scholarship Committee, Chandra Orrill (corrill@umassd.edu).
